Uzumaki Naruto is the title character and main protagonist of the series. Although he is only a Genin of Konohagakure, he is trained as a sage and thus is one of the village's most powerful ninja. He is the son and only child of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, a member of Team Kakashi, and the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.

Naruto's devotion to his friends has no bounds seen through his quest to bring Sasuke home. He has a tireless nature to become stronger and one day become the Hokage of Konoha.

Naruto's most commonly used abilities include the Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu
(Multiple Shadow Clone Technique) and the Rasengan, a focused wind technique, mastered by very few shinobi.
