Ino Yamanaka is one of the main supporting characters of the series. She is a ninja; a Chūnin-level kunoichi of Konohagakure, a member of the Yamanaka clan, and a member of Team Asuma. Along with her teammates; Chōji Akimichi and Shikamaru Nara, Ino is also a member of the new generation of Ino-Shika-Cho, just like their fathers were before them, and a Medical-nin.

Konan is the only female ninja in Akatsuki, and the partner of Nagato, being the only member to call him by his name.

When she was younger, Konan's family was killed during the Second Great Shinobi World War, and she was left to fend for herself.

Tobi was introduced as Diedara's Akatsuki companion. His face is covered by an orange mask with only one eyehole. With a silly personality, he maintains an attitude drastically different to most of the Akatsuki.

Sasori, also known as Sasori of the Red Sand, was a member of Akatsuki.

Sasori like Kankuro is a puppet user. However he uses human bodies as puppets which makes them more versatile and also gives him the ability to perform jutsu through these bodies. He keeps his real identity hidden to most who are not able to defeat the shells he hides beneath.

Rock Lee is a Chūnin of Konohagakure and a taijutsu specialist. Along with Neji and Tenten, Rock Lee is a member of Team Gai, under the leadership of their Jōnin-sensei, Maito Gai.

Rock is the only character that relies almost completely on taijutsu. His determination and hardwork is matched only by his mentor Gai sensei.

Kakashi Hatake is a Konohagakure Jōnin, a former ANBU, and the leader of Team 7.

Kakashi is the only child of Sakumo Hatake and, like his father, he is regarded as a genius among his peers. After his meteoric rise through the ninja ranks, Kakashi became the student of Minato Namikaze, and subsequently became a Jōnin during the Third Great Shinobi War.

Following the war, Kakashi gained his reputation, and is well-known worldwide for his use of the Sharingan, earning him the moniker Copy Ninja Kakashi and Kakashi of the Sharingan.

Orochimaru is one of Konohagakure's Sannin. He later became a member of Akatsuki and the leader of Otogakure.

Orochimaru is an extraordinarily powerful ninja who was able to defeat the Third Hokage. He seeks immortality and has spent extensive time studying and performing unnatural experiements.

Kisame Hoshigaki, the Monster of the Hidden Mist or Tailed Beast without a Tail, was a missing-nin from Kirigakure, a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and was partnered with Itachi Uchiha within Akatsuki.

Jiraiya is one of the legendary Sannin, along with Tsunade and Orochimaru, who was trained by the Third Hokage. He was a self-proclaimed super-pervert, and wrote a popular adult fiction book series, called Icha Icha--a favorite of Kakashi Hatake. He was also known as the Toad Sage, because of his signature toad summonings. Jiraiya had the kanji character for 'Oil' on his customized forehead protector.

Sasuke Uchiha is a main character in Naruto and is a major dynamic character in the series. Although he starts off as one of the protagonists, as the story goes on, he becomes one of the series' main antagonists. Sasuke is a missing-nin from Konohagakure, and is currently an international criminal.

Sasuke is one of the few remaining members of the Uchiha clan due to the massacre at the hands of his brother Itachi. Sasuke was formerly a member of team Kakashi with Naruto and Sakura. Although he created bonds with Naruto, Sasuke's desire for revenge on his brother Itachi led him to leave Konoha and seek out greater power at any cost.

Sasuke carries the power of the Sharingan eye inherited from his Uchiha clan bloodline. His abilities also include several variations of the powerful lightning Chidori.
